Van Thanh received the Certificate of recognition of a commune meeting NTM standards.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 24, Van Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district received the Certificate of recognition for achieving new rural standards in 2018.

During the 7 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the Party committees, authorities, sectors, unions and people of Van Thanh commune have always united, made efforts, mobilized all resources, invested in building infrastructure, and shifted the economic structure to develop in the right direction. Up to now, the commune has mobilized 284,148 billion VND for new rural construction; of which the people contributed 228,372 billion VND, accounting for 80.37%.

The rural appearance has improved a lot: 100% of commune and village roads and alleys are concreted; nearly 96% of main roads in the fields are hardened to facilitate people; 100% of agricultural land area is actively irrigated; educational facilities are equipped with modern facilities, meeting the prescribed standards; 100% of villages have cultural houses with full equipment...
The poverty rate has gradually decreased over the years. In 2018, the poverty rate was 3.15%; The rate of trained workers with jobs was 2,350 people, reaching 44%.

At the ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for the commune meeting new rural standards, the Party Committee, government and people of Van Thanh commune also received a bonus of 500 million VND from the Provincial People's Committee.
Also on this occasion, 8 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee, 17 individuals and collectives were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District and Commune People's Committees for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Nghe An joins hands to build new countryside"./.
