The price of gold in today's trading session decreased by $17.655 per ounce compared to yesterday's price. Converted using the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is approximately VND 59.082 million per tael. Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still VND 17.118 million per tael higher than the international gold price.
The Japanese Yen unexpectedly dropped sharply.
According to a survey by the Industry and Trade Newspaper, the Japanese Yen exchange rate today (February 3rd) has fallen sharply, specifically at some banks as follows:
At Vietcombank,The Japanese Yen exchange rate at Vietcombank is 160.92 VND/JPY for buying and 170.32 VND/JPY for selling, a decrease of 0.46 VND in the buying rate and 0.49 VND in the selling rate.
At BIDV Bank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.31 VND on the buying side and 0.35 VND on the selling side, reaching 161.97 VND/JPY and 170.54 VND/JPY respectively.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.37 VND on the buying side and 0.35 VND on the selling side, reaching 159.30 VND/JPY and 170.33 VND/JPY respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.55 VND on the buying side and 0.58 VND on the selling side, corresponding to rates of 163.75 VND/JPY and 168.83 VND/JPY respectively.
At NCB Bank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 161.90 VND/JPY for buying and 168.82 VND/JPY for selling (corresponding to a decrease of 0.17 VND for buying and 0.12 VND for selling).
Global gasoline and oil prices plummet.

The latest move by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (also known as OPEC+) in their online meeting on February 1st was rather lackluster, as the group's ministers did not propose any policy changes.
OPEC+'s decision to maintain its policy has led to pessimism among investors regarding market supply and demand, putting pressure on prices.
However, OPEC+ is having some impact that suggests it will cut production this quarter.
Domestic coffee prices have decreased slightly.
Domestic coffee prices, updated at 4:24 AM on February 3rd, showed a slight decrease, currently averaging 78,900 VND/kg in the Central Highlands provinces, with the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province at 79,500 VND/kg.
Specifically, the purchase price of coffee in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces was quite high at 78,800 VND/kg; in Dak Nong province, the highest purchase price was 79,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha, the price of bulk green coffee beans (green coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) is 78,200 VND/kg.
Today's coffee prices (February 3rd) in Dak Lak province are as follows: in Cu M'gar district, the purchase price is 78,900 VND/kg; in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, the purchase price is 79,000 VND/kg.
