Going to university is just the beginning!
(Baonghean) - Entering university is just the beginning of a new academic journey with many challenges and difficulties awaiting students ahead.
Upon entering university, many new students are excited about becoming "adults," gaining independence, and having the right to "make their own decisions" on matters that previously required parental or teacher permission.
However, life in a new environment is often not the "paradise" that many students imagine. They will have to return to "earth" when faced with numerous challenges and difficulties ahead, from food, accommodation, and daily life to the process of adapting and integrating into a new learning environment.

In fact, there have been cases of new university students who were excellent students in high school, with high entrance exam scores, the pride of their families and teachers, but due to living away from home, they were led astray by bad friends, lost control of themselves, and participated in social vices such as gambling, lottery, and even drug use, leading to regrettable suspension or expulsion from school.
The resulting consequences include interrupted education, and "starting over" is both difficult and time-consuming. In these cases, their inherent curiosity, susceptibility to being led astray, and lack of essential life skills when away from home cause them to lose themselves without even realizing it.
Thus, entering university is just the beginning of a new academic journey with many challenges and difficulties awaiting you. Each person needs to strive and make more effort based on their accumulated life experience and knowledge, especially independent living skills. The most important thing is to quickly integrate into the new environment and adapt to the new way of life and study.
Students need to clearly understand that the knowledge they acquire in university is directly relevant to their future careers. Compared to high school, the methods of knowledge transmission and teaching approaches of university lecturers are significantly different. Therefore, it is necessary to adapt their learning methods to be more positive and proactive.
Besides accumulating knowledge, it is essential to improve foreign language and computer skills, and to further develop practical "soft" skills such as communication skills, social skills, and teamwork skills. These are all important and useful skills both during university studies and in one's future career.
To focus on studying and developing essential skills, each new student needs to stay away from social vices such as gambling, lottery, and drug use. Because once they get involved in these vices, escaping is not easy. For students living far from home, they need to know how to use their monthly allowance from their families wisely and effectively, avoiding being drawn into the traps of those who enjoy a lavish lifestyle.
To build their own "resistance" to the temptations of social vices, children can arrange their time wisely to participate in healthy and beneficial clubs and recreational activities that suit their interests; become members of volunteer groups or participate in community volunteer programs.
These meaningful activities not only provide students with enjoyable experiences and further motivation to excel in their studies, but also help them accumulate essential life experiences for their future careers.
