Arrest of gambling group using dice shaking at farm

On November 15, 2021, Dien Chau District Police (Nghe An) said that the unit is temporarily detaining 08 subjects residing in the district for gambling.

When surrounded by the police, many subjects fled into the forest to hide. Dien Chau police arrested two subjects on the spot: Nguyen Nhu Binh (born in 1982), residing in Dien Loi commune and Phan Huy Thanh (born in 1990), residing in Dien Loc commune. At the scene, the police seized 11 mobile phones, nearly 21 million VND in cash and some related evidence.

Expanding the investigation, the police force clarified and arrested 6 more subjects involved in gambling, including: Hoang Cuong (born in 1995), Nguyen Van An (born in 1992), Hoang Huu Thien (born in 1995), Hoang Khac Quang (born in 1982), Cao Bang (born in 1990) all residing in Dien Phu commune and Hoang Van An (born in 1990) residing in Dien Loi commune; at the same time, proving that the amount of money the subjects used for gambling was 47 million VND.

During the investigation, Dien Chau District Police determined that taking advantage of the mountainous terrain, the subjects used boats to cross Xuan Duong dam to Cao Trong Tai's farm to organize gambling.

Currently, Dien Chau District Police are criminally detaining the above 8 subjects for gambling; at the same time, organizing the arrest of the remaining subjects to conduct investigation and handle according to the provisions of law.
