Designer Do Long talks about the process of creating the costume that helped the female model attract the attention of overseas Vietnamese during the Vietnamese Film Week in Australia.

Last weekend, Ngoc Trinh attended the Vietnam Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia. The princess dress she wore to the event with a stone-studded design received a lot of attention. This outfit was designed and made by designer Do Long. |
The young designer said the process of making this dress was quite elaborate. First, he sketched out the idea into many dress designs, chose the most satisfactory one and sent it to Ngoc Trinh for her approval. After approval, he and his workers began to make it. |
The designer chose a princess dress for Ngoc Trinh because he wanted Vietnamese audiences in Australia to see Ngoc Trinh with a pure, innocent image, instead of wearing her in tight, daringly revealing dresses. |
The designer said the sophistication of the dress lies in the need to firmly attach the red and white faux crystal beads in many shapes. The order of the arrangement of the stones on the surface of the dress must ensure that the dress feels airy. Four workers had to attach the beads day and night to keep up with the schedule. |
The dress took about a month to make, including the selection of the main material, chiffon. The stone embellishment was done entirely by hand and took 15 days. Ngoc Trinh spent about 30 million VND to make this outfit. |
Do Long also helped Ngoc Trinh choose accessories to create a unified outfit, with Dior shoes and a Louboutin wallet. |
In addition to the main dress, Do Long also prepared for Ngoc Trinh 6 white outfits, with lace and mesh, designed with many materials. |
This is also a way to help the beauty's image become closer to overseas Vietnamese when they come to watch the movie "56-inch Waist" in which she plays the main role. |
In big and small events, Ngoc Trinh is always taken care of by the crew and prepared in every detail to build a neat image every time she appears. |
