'Barefoot athlete' from Hoang Mai town wins first prize at the Provincial Cross-Country Race
(Baonghean.vn) - HIn response to the Olympic Run Day and to celebrate Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2017),On the morning of March 19th, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 2017 Nghe An Provincial Cross-Country Race.

This year's tournament attracted over 200 athletes from 21 districts, cities, and towns. The athletes competed in three distances: 2,500m (for girls under 15), 3,000m (for girls over 15 and boys under 15), and 5,000m for boys over 16.The race track starts from Lenin Avenue to the intersection with Nguyen Sy Sach Street, then loops back to Lenin Avenue. + In the girls' under-15 category: First, second, and third prizes went to Dau Thi Na (Hoang Mai Town), Nguyen Thi My Duc (Quynh Luu), and Dau Thi Kim Lien (Hoang Mai Town), respectively. + In the boys' under-15 category: First, second, and third prizes went to Pham Van The (Hoang Mai Town), Ho Dinh Quynh (Quynh Luu District), and Nguyen Trong Quyet (Thanh Chuong District), respectively. + In the women's category (over 16 years old): First, second, and third prizes went to Nguyen Thi Linh (Thanh Chuong), Doan Thi Thin (Hoang Mai Town), and Tran Thi Thuong (Quynh Luu), respectively. + In the men's category (over 16 years old): First, second, and third prizes went to Nguyen Van Duc (Cua Lo Town), Le Khac Quan (Yen Thanh), and Hoang Duc Hau (Quynh Luu), respectively.
