Iran rejects US interference on succession.

Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, strongly condemned US interference after President Donald Trump declared he should be involved in the process of selecting a successor to the late Supreme Leader Khamenei.

"The selection of Iran's leadership will take place in strict accordance with our constitutional processes and will be based entirely on the will of the Iranian people, without any foreign interference," Iravani emphasized to reporters in New York.
