Following the plenary session of the Saint-Petersburg Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019), Chinese President Xi Jinping nearly fell off the stage while shaking hands with a member of the Chinese delegation.

At the event, immediately after the session ended, journalists and representatives from delegations of various countries rushed towards the stage.
Someone tried to ask a question, while someone else attempted to take a photo in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.
Notably, the representatives of the Chinese delegation loudly welcomed Xi Jinping and did everything they could to attract his attention. The Chinese president shook hands with one of them and nearly fell off the stage. Fortunately, the bodyguards of Russian leader Vladimir Putin managed to catch Xi in time.
