What are the penalties for violating regulations regarding the transportation of live animals and fresh food?

According to the Ministry of Public Security: Government Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP dated December 26, 2024, stipulates administrative penalties for violations of traffic order and safety in the field of road transport; deduction and restoration of points on driver's licenses, in which Article 24 stipulates "Penalties and deduction of points on driver's licenses of drivers of automobiles who commit violations of regulations on transporting live animals and fresh food" as follows:

1. A fine of VND 1,000,000 to VND 2,000,000 will be imposed for the violation of transporting live animals or fresh food without the required documentation (for live animals and fresh food that require documentation during transportation).

2. A fine of VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for violations related to the transportation of fresh food that fail to comply with regulations on food safety, epidemiological hygiene, disease prevention, and environmental sanitation.

3. In addition to being penalized, drivers who violate the regulations specified in Clause 2 of this Article will also have 2 points deducted from their driver's license.
