Why doesn't the US release photos of Bin Laden's corpse?
The special forces' heavy-handedness with Bin Laden is said to be the reason why the US has not released images of the terrorist leader's corpse.
The topic of terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden is still a controversial and mysterious topic. One big question that still exists is why the White House has not released the images of the terrorist leader's body.

Looking back, US officials have released a video showing Saddam Hussein being hanged as well as the bodies of his sons Uday and Qusay after they were killed by Delta Force special forces.
So why won't the Obama administration release photos of America's number one enemy's body to prove that Bin Laden is dead?
Matt Bissonnette, one of the US special forces of SEAL Team 6, who participated in the operation to kill Bin Laden, revealed part of the reason in the book “Not an Easy Day”. Accordingly, the book has a passage: “He (Bin Laden) died in pain, he cowered and jerked repeatedly”.
“Another SEAL with me took aim at his chest and opened fire. The bullets penetrated Bin Laden’s body, pinning him to the floor until he was completely motionless,” Bissonnette wrote.
But this is probably the most polite description one can give of how the US special forces killed the terrorist leader, because in fact, the US soldiers took turns shooting Bin Laden. Two confidential sources said that after the special forces' barrage of bullets, the terrorist leader had more than 100 bullets in his body.
Under the Laws of Land Warfare, a soldier has every right to shoot down a fallen target to ensure the target is truly dead and no longer a threat. However, what happened in the Bin Laden operation went beyond that because firing hundreds of bullets at a person who no longer posed a threat seemed unnecessary.
This is believed to be the main reason why the Obama administration did not release the image of Osama bin Laden's corpse because it was afraid that if it did, the world would see a body full of "unsightly" bullet wounds.
The images are likely to cause an international scandal, and investigations that could reveal other secret activities./.
