Vinh city authorities plan to partially renovate the sidewalks of four streets, Le Mao, Ho Tung Mau, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Le Hong Phong, to create dispersed parking lots.
For Le Mao Street (with 9m wide sidewalk), the construction area is the sidewalk in front of Vinh City Tax Department to the gate of Vinh City Convention Center with a length of 165m; the width of the car parking area is 3m from the edge of the road, the direction of car parking is along the direction of traffic, the width of the sidewalk is 6m.

Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (sidewalk width 10.5m). Construction scope at the sidewalk in front of the Departments: Justice, Finance, Industry and Trade, Culture - Sports. Construction scale with length 457m; car parking width 3m from the edge of the road, car parking direction along the direction of traffic, sidewalk width 7.5m.

Le Hong Phong Street (sidewalk 10.5m wide). Construction area in front of Hoa Sen Kindergarten; length 75m; car parking width from 7-7.5m from the red line, sidewalk width from 2.5-3m.
The location opposite the Department of Transport is 85m long; the car parking area is 6m wide from the edge of the road, the sidewalk is 4.5m wide. The car parking direction is at a 45° angle in the direction of traffic.

Ho Tung Mau Street (sidewalk 10.5m wide), construction area: From Vuong Thuc Mau Street to Nguyen Trung Ngan Street (in front of Quan Lau market area). Construction scale with length of 120m; keep the green trees outside, the sidewalk from the curb in 2.5-3m to make a walkway, lower the sidewalk to make a parking lane inside 5.0-5.5m wide, the remaining sidewalk close to the red line 2-2.5m wide allows use for parking 2-wheel vehicles.
In Vinh City, the land fund for building parking lots is very limited. Many vehicle owners do not have a place to park their cars so they park their cars in spots without parking lines, causing congestion, traffic insecurity and affecting urban aesthetics. Therefore, the city government's policy of piloting sidewalk renovation and creating dispersed car parking lots is a practical and highly feasible solution.
