According to witnesses, passengers using the cable car were seriously injured. Many of them jumped out of their seats and suffered leg injuries. But many were more seriously affected while descending from the mountain range - they flew and hit their chests on their seats.
The cause of the elevator accident is believed to be a power failure - so the chairs slid down the cable car and collided with each other. Some victims were assisted at the scene, 8 people were taken to hospital, 7 of whom are still in the ward.
