According to RT, incumbent Russian President Vladimir Putin exercised his right to vote in the presidential election on March 15 (local time). The Russian leader chose the convenience of online voting, comfortably making his choice in his office located in the Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow.
Sitting behind his desk, Mr. Putin navigated the digital interface and made his selection with just a few clicks. The system quickly confirmed that his vote had been successful.
Dmitry Peskov, the president's spokesman, told Russian media that President Putin chose to vote this way because "it is simply convenient."
Voting in Russia lasts three days, starting on March 15 and ending on March 17, allowing citizens in multiple time zones to participate.
In addition to Mr. Putin, three other candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are competing for the highest position in the country: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolay Haritonov and Vladislav Davankov.
