Lack of motivational projects
Participating in contributing opinions on the results of socio-economic development, delegate Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the results of socio-economic development have many positive changes. However, the growth rate (GRDP) has not met expectations.
Explaining the reason, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: The province still lacks major breakthrough projects. According to the province's orientation, it focuses on attracting large projects, however, these projects have not been implemented yet.
Clarifying the content that people are interested in, which is the increase in land prices, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that at the 12th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, the Resolution on principles of valuation and land price list of all types of land for the period from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 in Nghe An province will be passed.

“The increase in land prices is within the Government’s regulations on land prices in Nghe An. At the same time, the increase in land prices must ensure harmony: the interests of the people, the interests of businesses, state tax collection as well as investment attraction” - the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

Delegate Dang Quang Hong (Nghi Loc) expressed concern about high tax debts; slow site clearance in some key projects; the number of operating enterprises only reached 58% of the total number of registered enterprises; the quality of national standard schools was not sustainable; thereby suggesting that the Provincial People's Committee should pay attention to investment resources for education.
Environmental pollution frustration
Referring to the issue of environmental pollution, delegate Dinh Thi An Phong (Nghi Loc) said: Environmental pollution in the area is a matter of concern to delegates during the meetings; however, there are issues that have been reported but not yet resolved, such as: Pollution at Rao Dung culvert, Nghi Thai commune (Nghi Loc) was proposed by delegates 5 times during the 2 terms of the Provincial People's Council. However, it has not been resolved yet.

Regarding the issue of environmental pollution, Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho said: Nghi Yen landfill does not have the budget to relocate households affected by environmental pollution. It is estimated that the resettlement of these 76 households will require about 100 billion VND; therefore, the province is requested to balance the budget to relocate households to resettlement areas to stabilize their lives soon.
The Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee reflected on the difficult drainage situation for the industrial park, especially during the flood season. The district has made many requests to the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board but has not been able to resolve the issue; the locality hopes that the province will handle the issue soon to minimize environmental pollution.
