Former Arsenal veteran Patrick Vieira has confirmed that manager Arsene Wenger will not leave Emirates and wants the players to always respect their current manager.

Coach Wenger is under great pressure because of Arsenal's poor performance

After Arsenal's poor run of form in both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League (losing 6 and winning 2 in the last 8 matches), the wave of opposition to the French tactician is going beyond the limit. From the slogans of the fans to the internal discord between the players, everyone seems to want to turn their backs on Arsene Wenger.

Faced with the tense situation at his old team, former midfielder Patrick Vieira spoke out in defense of his coach.

“He is going through a very difficult time at the Emirates. The series of defeats and the discord with some players is tiring him. The Arsenal players should know where they are and work with the manager to get the team back on track.

Arsenal players must respect the coach and fight for the fans, not create more scandals that lead to disunity and affect the team's performance. In my opinion, this miserable situation is partly due to the players who have ruined Wenger's style of play," Vieira told Sky Sports.

Regarding the rumors about Wenger's departure at the end of the season, the New York City (MLS) coach commented: "In the short term, he will try to improve the situation of Arsenal. I have no opinion on whether he should leave or stay after the end of his contract because he has enough experience and courage to decide his future. However, I know that with his level, passion, and love for coaching, he can be successful anywhere."
