Vietnam has reported 7 new cases of Covid-19, including one doctor.
The Ministry of Health announced that Vietnam has just recorded 7 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases to 141, including one doctor.

CASE 135 (BN135):A 27-year-old female patient, whose parents' address is Tran Nguyen Han Street, Le Chan District, Hai Phong City, departed from Copenhagen, Denmark on March 19, 2020, transiting through Doha and Bangkok. She entered Vietnam on March 21, 2020, at Da Nang International Airport on flight PG947, seat 16A. After entering the country, she was quarantined at the Military Region 5 National Defense Education Center. She tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and is currently in stable condition.
CASE 136 (BN136):The patient, a 23-year-old female, resides in Linh Dam, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi. She is a student returning from the United States and entered Vietnam via Noi Bai Airport on February 16, 2020. After entering the country, she self-isolated at home. On March 21, 2020, she developed a fever. On March 22, 2020, the Hoang Mai Health Center collected a sample for testing, which returned a positive result for Covid-19. On March 24, the sample was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, which also confirmed a positive result for Covid-19. Currently, the patient is isolated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and her health is stable.
CASE 137 (BN137):A 36-year-old male patient residing in Yen Thanh, Nghe An province, is a tourist from Germany who entered Vietnam via Noi Bai Airport on March 15, 2020. Upon arrival, he was taken to a quarantine facility in Hanoi and tested. Currently, he is being quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh branch, and his health is stable.
CASE 138 (BN138):A 23-year-old male patient residing in Lang Ha Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi. The patient is a student from the UK who entered Vietnam via Noi Bai Airport on March 21, 2020, on flight VN0054. Upon arrival, the patient was taken to a quarantine facility in Hanoi and samples were taken for testing. On March 24, the samples were sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Currently, the patient is being quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and his health is stable.
CASE 139 (BN139):A 24-year-old female patient, residing at Tran Khat Chan Street, Thanh Nhan Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi. She is a student studying in the UK and the wife of a patient who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. She entered Vietnam via Noi Bai Airport on March 21, 2020, on flight VN0054. Upon arrival, she was taken to a quarantine facility at the Tu Hiep Student Dormitory and samples were taken for testing. The samples were sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Currently, she is quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and her health is stable.
CASE 140 (BN140):A 21-year-old male patient, residing at Dang Thai Mai Street, Quang An Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi. The patient is a student studying in the UK who entered Vietnam via Noi Bai Airport on March 21, 2020, on flight VN0054. Upon arrival, the patient was taken to a quarantine facility in Hanoi and samples were taken for screening tests. The samples were sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Currently, the patient is being quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and his health is stable.
CASE 141 (BN141):The patient is a 29-year-old doctor working in the Emergency Department of the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh branch. The doctor was infected while setting up a ventilator for patient 28, and was exposed on the same day as another doctor working in the same department (patient 116).
To date, Vietnam has had 141 cases of Covid-19, of which 17 have recovered. The remaining cases are being treated at medical facilities nationwide.
