Vietnam ranks 11th among the world's most livable places.

The InterNations website has just released the results of its 2016 survey, showing that Vietnam ranks 11th on the list of top destinations for people living and working abroad.

The evaluation criteria include: quality of life, ability to settle down and integrate into society, work environment, family life, and personal finances.

Compared to last year, when it ranked only 35th out of 64 countries, Vietnam is considered to have achieved the biggest success, climbing 24 places this year.

Accordingly, the workplace environment criterion moved from position 36 to position 12. The stability and integration capability criterion moved from position 35 to position 29.

Vietnam's quality of life is not highly rated, ranking 42nd, but in terms of the happiness level of its people, Vietnam ranks 8th.

Expat Insider is one of the world's largest surveys focusing on the "expat" community – people who live and work abroad. This is the third consecutive year this survey has been conducted.

Taiwan topped the overall ranking this year, followed by Malta and Ecuador. The bottom three countries were Kuwait, Greece, and Nigeria.
