Vietnam records 14th case positive for Corona virus

At noon on February 9, the Ministry of Health reported that there was one more case of acute respiratory infection with a positive test result for the new strain of coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
Patient NT Y; female, 55 years old; occupation: freelance worker. Address: Ai Van village, Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province.
Patient Y is a neighbor of patient NT D, a case that has been confirmed positive for nCoV (previously reported).
On January 28, 2020, the patient went to patient NT D's house to wish him a happy new year, sat at patient D's house for about 1 hour and then left.
Patient Y is on the list of close contacts being closely monitored by the Vinh Phuc Provincial Center for Disease Control.
Through monitoring and surveillance of close contacts, on February 4, 2020, the patient developed symptoms of fever, headache, and runny nose. The patient was quarantined, examined, and treated at Quang Ha Regional Clinic, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province.
Vinh Phuc Provincial Center for Disease Control has taken samples and sent them to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing.
Currently, patient NT Y is being isolated at Quang Ha Regional Clinic, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province and is in stable condition.
Test results of patient NT Y's sample showed positive for nCoV virus using Realtime RT - PCR technique.
Place of testing: Department of Virology, Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Thus, up to this point, Vietnam has had 14 people with acute respiratory infection caused by the new strain of Corona virus, of which Vinh Phuc province alone has 9 cases.
In areas where cases were detected, local authorities closely monitored and supervised those who had close contact with these patients. Some suspected cases were quarantined and tested.
As of 11:00 a.m. on February 9, 2020, the total number of tested samples was 759 people, of which 14 were positive and 745 were negative./.
