Vietnam records its 14th case testing positive for the coronavirus.
Patient Y is a neighbor of patient NT D, a previously reported case of nCoV infection in Vinh Phuc province.

At noon on February 9th, the Ministry of Health announced the recording of one additional case of acute respiratory infection with a positive test result for the new strain of coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
Patient NT Y; female, 55 years old; occupation: freelance worker. Address: Ai Van Hamlet, Son Loi Commune, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province.
Patient Y is a neighbor of patient NT D, who was previously confirmed positive for nCoV (as reported earlier).
On January 28, 2020, the patient visited patient NT D's house to wish them a Happy New Year, sat at patient D's house for about an hour, and then left.
Patient Y is on the list of close contacts being closely monitored by the Vinh Phuc Provincial Center for Disease Control.
Through monitoring and surveillance of close contacts, on February 4, 2020, the patient developed symptoms of fever, headache, and runny nose. The patient was isolated, examined, and treated at the Quang Ha Regional Polyclinic, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province.
The Vinh Phuc Provincial Center for Disease Control has collected samples and sent them to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing.
Currently, patient NT Y is being isolated at the Quang Ha Regional Polyclinic, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province, and is in stable condition.
The test results of patient NT Y's samples showed a positive result for the nCoV virus using Realtime RT-PCR technique.

Thus, as of this moment, Vietnam has had 14 people infected with acute respiratory illness caused by the new strain of coronavirus, with 9 cases in Vinh Phuc province alone.
In areas where cases have been detected, local authorities are closely monitoring and supervising those who have had close contact with these patients. Some suspected cases are being isolated and tested.
As of 11:00 AM on February 9, 2020, a total of 759 people had been tested, with 14 positive cases and 745 negative cases.
