Vietnam and Indonesia negotiate the delimitation of their Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs).
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the eighth round of expert-level negotiations on the delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) between Vietnam and Indonesia was held in Bali, Indonesia from March 22-24.

This is the next round of negotiations following the seventh round on this issue, held in Hanoi, Vietnam from December 15-17, 2015.
The Vietnamese delegation was led by Mr. Trinh Duc Hai, Deputy Chairman of the National Border Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam. The Indonesian delegation was led by Mr. Octavino Alimuddin, Director of the Department of Political, Security and Territorial Treaties, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.
At the eighth round of negotiations, both sides continued to discuss methods for delimiting the Exclusive Economic Zone based on the provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and exchanged views on the remaining principles of the draft Principles and Guidelines for Negotiation.
Both negotiating teams hope that the results of this round of talks will contribute to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
