Vietnam is hosting the ASEAN Friendship Beauty Pageant for the first time in 2017.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just granted permission to Gala Viet Event and Tourism Joint Stock Company to organize the ASEAN Friendship Beauty Pageant 2017 from February 18, 2017 to July 2, 2017.

Accordingly, the preliminary round of the competition (for Vietnamese contestants) will be held from March 1st to April 28th at Gala Viet Event and Tourism Joint Stock Company in Da Nang. The final round will take place from June 1st to July 2nd in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen. The grand finale, scheduled for July 1st, is also expected to be held in this city.

The final round of the "ASEAN Friendship Beauty Pageant" will take place in Phu Yen.

According to the organizers, Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 carries the following messages: honoring the beauty of Southeast Asian women; promoting cultural exchange; strengthening solidarity and friendship among countries in the region..., while also showcasing the scenery and people of Phu Yen, Vietnam, and the ASEAN bloc of nations.

Unlike other beauty pageants, Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 only accepts nominations from participating countries and selects deserving candidates to advance directly to the final round in June 2017.
