Vietnam is about to have electric taxis
It is expected that 100 Renault Fluence ZE will arrive in Vietnam next June. The car uses a 95 horsepower electric motor combined with a 22 kWh battery.
The Fluence ZE electric car was developed based on Renault's Fluence compact sedan platform and officially went into production in 2011. Previously, in 2009, the French car company introduced the Fluence ZE Concept to European customers at the Frankfurt Motor Show (Germany).

Fluence ZE is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 95 horsepower and a torque of 226 Nm. The car uses a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery. With a full charge, Renault Fluence ZE can travel a distance of 185 km and reach a maximum speed of 135 km/h, according to the manufacturer. Acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h takes 13.7 seconds.
To fully charge the Fluence ZE battery, users can use a standard 220-240V 10A household power source for 10 to 12 hours. If using a dedicated power source, the battery will only take 6-9 hours to fully charge.
The electric vehicle is 4,748 mm long, 1,809 mm wide and 1,458 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,702 mm, the ground clearance is 120 mm and the weight is 1,605 kg. The luggage compartment capacity is 317 liters.
On April 8, Renault signed an electric vehicle purchase contract with Mai Linh taxi company to supply 100 Fluence ZE vehicles.
In France, the Renault Fluence ZE costs nearly $30,000.
