On the morning of August 24th, in Cua Lo town, a delegation from the Central Inspection Committee and the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam, along with a delegation from the Central Inspection Committee and the Government Inspectorate of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, held a seminar on inspection, auditing, and anti-corruption work of the two Parties and States. On the Vietnamese side, Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hiep, a member of the Central Inspection Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, chaired the seminar. |
In his opening remarks at the workshop, on behalf of the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hiep emphasized that inspection, auditing, and the fight against corruption are crucial tasks.
The main objective of inspection and auditing activities is to detect violations and shortcomings, while also highlighting strengths that need to be promoted. Most importantly, this work aims to gradually improve the legal mechanisms for the exercise of power by the Party and the State.

However, he also noted that in practice, inspection and auditing activities still reveal some shortcomings, and it is necessary to study ways to overcome them so that this work becomes more effective.
In a spirit of frankness, sincerity, and openness, delegates from Vietnam and Laos jointly identified strengths and proposed the most flexible and effective methods and measures to apply to inspection and auditing work in each country.
This afternoon (August 24th), a meeting will be held between high-ranking officials of the Central Inspection Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Central Inspection Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
