Vietnam ranks in the top 5 of the 2018 beauty pageant.
With the impressive performances of H'Hen Niê, Phương Khánh, and Minh Tú, Vietnam has ranked highly in international beauty pageants for the first time. Venezuela has once again become a "beauty powerhouse".
PageMissosology has just released its 2018 ranking of countries, based on their performance in five competitions – Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International, and Miss Supranational.
Thanks to the impressive performances of H'Hen Niê (top 5 Miss Universe), Phương Khánh (reigning Miss Earth), Minh Tú (top 10 Miss Supranational), and Tiểu Vy (top 30 Miss World), Vietnam has made it into the top 5 rankings for the first time.

The Vietnamese contestants earned a total score of 507, ranking only behind Venezuela, the Philippines, Mexico, and South Africa.
Countries considered strong in the Asian region, such as Thailand and Indonesia, ranked 6th and 8th respectively. The beauty website suggests that Vietnam will be a formidable competitor for other countries in future competitions.
Venezuela surpassed the Philippines by a narrow margin, 647 to 616 points, to claim the top spot and become the beauty powerhouse of 2018. This marks the 18th time the South American nation has been honored, further solidifying its position as the world's leading professional beauty pageant training center.

Venezuelan beauty queens achieved the following accomplishments last year: winning Miss International, placing in the top 3 of Miss Universe, the top 8 of Miss Earth, the top 10 of Supranational, and the top 30 of Miss World.
Some countries that saw notable increases in ranking include Puerto Rico, Nepal, and Romania... Interestingly, Romania still jumped to 12th place, despite not having contestants in Miss Universe or Miss World.
The titles of 3rd Runner-up at Miss International, Top 10 at Miss Supranational, and Top 18 at Miss Earth earned them a total of 290 points.
For Vietnamese beauty queens, 2018 was undoubtedly the most successful and impressive year ever. Putting aside the achievements, the inspiring story of H'Hen Niê, a girl from the Ê-đê ethnic group, captured the hearts of a large international audience.
