The PVF stadium project in Hung Yen is expected to be inaugurated in March 2027, boasting the most modern automated dome roof technology and hybrid turf in the region.

Vietnamese football is facing a historic turning point in terms of infrastructure as the PVF Stadium project (Hung Yen) is being accelerated to completion in March 2027. This is the first sports facility in Vietnam designed and built to meet all the strictest FIFA standards for a World Cup.

With a capacity of 60,000 seats and ambitions to reach global standards.

Construction began in October 2025, with the Ministry of Public Security as the investor and Vinhomes (Vingroup) as the general contractor. With a capacity of up to 60,000 seats, this project far surpasses the scale of the My Dinh National Stadium (40,000 seats), officially setting a record for the largest stadium in Vietnam upon completion.

The PVF stadium promises to become a new symbol of Vietnamese football.

The upgrade is not simply about serving a larger audience, but also about affirming Vietnam's ability to host major international tournaments. According to infrastructure experts, a 60,000-seat stadium meeting FIFA standards is a prerequisite for Vietnam to consider co-hosting future World Cups or Asian Cup finals.

Wembley's hybrid dome and turf technology meets standards.

The most notable feature that sets this mega-project apart from existing stadiums in Vietnam is its state-of-the-art technology system. Significantly, the stadium's dome roof can automatically open and close flexibly within a timeframe of 12 to 20 minutes. This technology ensures that matches are not affected by harsh weather conditions, while also optimizing the viewing experience for spectators.

In addition, the pitch is equipped with modular hybrid turf technology, similar to the system used at the legendary Wembley Stadium (England). This type of turf not only provides greater durability under intense playing conditions but also possesses superior drainage capabilities, helping the ball roll more smoothly and minimizing injuries to players.

A 92-hectare sports ecosystem in Hung Yen.

The PVF Stadium is located within a vast 92-hectare sports and service complex in Nghia Tru commune, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province. This strategic location offers easy access to Hanoi and neighboring provinces. The investor has also allocated 18 hectares for a plaza and parking area, effectively addressing the traffic congestion often seen at major sporting events.

As of early February 2026, the project is being implemented with urgency. The foundation and reinforced concrete pillars are gradually taking shape. Vinhomes' presence as the general contractor is expected to ensure the committed schedule and the highest level of technical quality.

A historic milestone for domestic football infrastructure.

If the current construction pace is maintained, March 30, 2027 will go down in history as a milestone when Vietnam officially possesses a stadium infrastructure approaching the highest level of world football. The appearance of the PVF-CAND stadium not only brings advantages to the owning club but also provides the National Team with a new, modern "sacred ground" capable of putting pressure on any opponent in the region and continent.

Looking at the broader picture, having a World Cup-qualified superstar would be a crucial leverage point for Vietnam to professionalize its football, from tournament organization to commercial exploitation and sports tourism, laying the foundation for sustainable development for decades to come.
