According to Bloomberg's health rankings (based on data from the United Nations, the World Bank, and the World Health Organization), Vietnam ranks 62nd among countries with a population of 1 million or more.

In the rankings, Singapore is the healthiest country in the world.

To determine the healthiest countries in the world (those with a population of at least 1 million), Bloomberg subtracted health risk scores from health scores. The health score was based on the mortality rate in each country, while the health risk scores were based on the percentage of young people who smoked and the number of vaccinations.

Singapore received a score of 89.45%. Italy came in second with 89.07%, while Australia was third with 88.33%.

Israel, in sixth place, is the only Middle Eastern country in the top 10. Meanwhile, North America and Latin American countries are not in the top 20.

Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia ranked 51st, Thailand 77th, and Vietnam 62nd.

The health data from these 145 countries will provide useful indicators for policymakers, who can learn from the experiences of countries with higher health scores to improve their own national health scores.

However, according to some experts, the definition of "health" needs to be broadened to include quality of life, not just longevity.
