In the next episode of the show "The First Time I Told You", Viet Trinh continues to open up about her scandals with rich lovers who got into trouble with the law and stories surrounding the image that the audience imposes on artists.
- When Viet Trinh was surrounded by scandal when her two rich lovers, Pham Huy Phuoc and Tran Van Giao, were arrested, how did you feel?
If I was guilty, I would do something, but at that time, I thought that slowly people would understand me.
I still remember that time, many people, even many articles accused me, along with Mr. Phuoc (tycoon Pham Huy Phuoc - sentenced to death for causing hundreds of billions of dong in state funds to be lost) and Mr. Giao (Tran Van Giao - currently serving a life sentence for land fraud) of defrauding others.
Then everything came to light when the police finished investigating.
To be honest, at that time I was very miserable so I decided to turn to Buddhism to free my thoughts and lift my spirit.
It was then that I understood how malicious and slanderous words affect people.
In showbiz there are also people who commit suicide and die because of gossip.
I came to Buddhism to overcome it. I know the "karma" that I am carrying, trying to pay off this fate step by step, doing whatever good I can for life, I will try to do.

Viet Trinh has been involved in too many scandals when she was associated with two tycoons who were in trouble with the law, Pham Huy Phuoc and Tran Van Giao. |
- Actually, it's not that big of a deal. I see that every rich man who goes to jail is tied to a certain woman. Viet Trinh is no exception.
I see a lot of it, so I think the audience and public opinion should look at things lightly and comfortably so that we actors can still devote our efforts and minds to art.
- Through those storms, what lessons did Viet Trinh learn for herself?
In this life there is something called fate, at this time, at this minute you have to meet someone, it is unavoidable. So I am trying to live a better life, do less evil, and reduce "bad mouth".
Our grandparents used to say “money goes to replace life”, it is better to lose the car, lose money but keep your life, you will make more than that. Now lying on a pile of gold and suffering from a terminal illness, it is also considered the end.
- Looking back on her life, what do Viet Trinh see as her gains and losses?
Looking back on my life, I can see that I have had my ups and downs in balance.
The gain is that from a girl with dirty hands and feet, from Binh Phuoc, suddenly, within two years became famous, with a huge salary. But besides that, there is also the loss of a big scandal.
After many storms, now I have nothing left, I am back to being me, Tran Viet Trinh, not the famous Viet Trinh anymore.
My friends often tell me that going out with the famous Viet Trinh is tiring, so I joke: "No, you're going out with Tran Viet Trinh, because the famous Viet Trinh died a long time ago."
- Is there any story that Viet Trinh will remember forever?
Many rumors came to me very funny, a fan texted me and said: "I heard this information about you, I don't know if it's true, it's that one time I got drunk and accidentally got pregnant, I didn't know whether to keep it or not so I let the baby be born".
I don't understand how people can make up such a perfect story about my child.
- How did those rumors and scandals affect you?
I once said in the newspaper that I have to thank life for giving me slaps because with the jealousy of youth and the complacency of becoming famous too soon, I know when to stop, otherwise it would be very dangerous.
So to be where I am now, I had to try very hard. I just hope that the public and the audience will let artists live a normal life when they are not on stage or on screen.
For example, an artist may act in a perfect role in a movie, but in real life they are also a normal person, who gets angry, jealous, fights, speaks loudly, and even swears.
Let artists live normally because they are too stressed. There are people who faint on set after filming. I say this so that the audience understands that doing art with passion is very tiring.
Even letting artists sit around in shops, arms and legs spread out, laughing heartily is fine. Do we always have to sit with legs and arms closed and smile friendly to everyone?

After going through many storms, Viet Trinh now has a peaceful life even though she has nothing left. |
- Do you have any interesting memories related to the story of "images on film and reality"?
For example, the beauty of Tay Do is a very beautiful model.
In 2012, I represented a car company in Hanoi for an event. When I arrived in Hanoi, I wore shorts and a tank top, sat watching TV and eating chips, which made the room service girl's eyes widen.
That night, I was wearing a luxurious dress when the same maid ran over and told me that when she saw me in shorts and a tank top that morning, she felt like she was falling apart because the image she had imagined of me all this time was still the same as the gentle, feminine image in the movie "The Beauty of the West".
The girl said that when she got off the elevator, she was very sad and told herself that she would never admire me again.
But then the girl and I confided that I had to be true to myself, should I just keep forcing myself like this?
If the audience wants the artist to tell about their real life, then let them live by their true instincts.
- Thank you for sharing!
