Viettel is mobilizing all its resources to fix the problems after Typhoon No. 5.
Recently, Typhoon Kajiki (Typhoon No. 5) made landfall in North Central Vietnam, causing serious damage in Nghe An province. Prolonged heavy rain and strong winds severely damaged the power grid and telecommunications infrastructure in the area.
Recognizing this as a major storm with complex developments, Viettel Nghe An proactively implemented response plans even before the storm made landfall.
Nearly 400 Viettel Nghe An staff members, along with 150 deployed personnel, have been stationed at key base stations, ready to handle any incidents. Simultaneously, the unit has prepared numerous modern vehicles and equipment for emergency response. Nearly 150 vehicles, 200 generators, 600 portable batteries, 2 mobile units, 8 satellite phones, and 8 Starlink devices have been mobilized by Viettel to ensure timely emergency response.

Thanks to thorough preparation, even during the storm, Viettel ensured connectivity for the Nghe An Forward Command Post and the headquarters of commune governments, effectively serving the disaster response efforts.
Immediately after the storm weakened, Viettel continued to deploy more than 350 personnel from various provinces and cities across the country to provide support, bringing the total number of personnel handling the incident in Nghe An to nearly 350.1,000PeopleSimultaneously, Viettel is also deploying an intelligent operating software system solution to monitor and manage operations, ensuring timely and rapid incident response.

As a result, just one day after the storm hit, Viettel's mobile network was largely restored, ensuring communication for the people. Currently, the company is continuing to focus resources on quickly resolving issues with fixed broadband services, which are expected to be completed in the next few days.

Sharing the difficulties with people affected by natural disasters, Viettel has implemented many support policies: Before the storm, it offered a 50% discount on top-up cards for 1.5 million customers in Nghe An, which was directly affected by the storm. On the morning of August 27th, Viettel also implemented a program to give 50% extra data to help customers maintain communication when subscribing to packages.ST15K, 5G30./.
