Vinamilk receives series of awards for governance and sustainable development
Vinamilk continues to affirm its pioneering and leading position in both governance and sustainable development through outstanding results at the 2024 Listed Enterprise Selection, with more than 500 participating enterprises.
“Pioneering into the green era”
This is the general assessment of the Board of Judges of the 2024 Listed Company Awards for Vinamilk. Accordingly, Vinamilk has made great strides in its journey of sustainable development, demonstrated through outstanding achievements in minimizing environmental impact and social responsibility.
Thanks to that, this business is always the name mentioned in many categories such as First Prize.Sustainability Report; Award for Best Greenhouse Gas Management Reporting Enterprise; Top 10 Best Corporate Governance Enterprises (large-cap group) and Award for Corporate Governance Beyond Compliance at the program.

At the award ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Minh - Executive Director of Production and Head of Net Zero Project Vinamilk - said that the award is a recognition of the company's efforts in reporting and disclosing information, and good governance practices on environmental - social - governance (ESG). Through this recognition, the company hopes to spread and motivate other organizations and businesses towards advanced governance standards, transparency and sustainable development.
In terms of governance, Vinamilk is highly appreciated for applying corporate governance principles that go beyond compliance, approaching good governance practices in the world and the region of the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. Sustainable performance for 12 consecutive years
Since the publication of its first Sustainable Development Report in 2012, Vinamilk has always been in the Top 3 best-rated companies. In the category of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Disclosure, Vinamilk is the only enterprise and has been leading for 3 consecutive years.
Another notable point is that although the number of separate sustainability reports this year has increased to a record, from 21 to 33 units, only 2 enterprises set emission targets based on SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) standards, including Vinamilk. This affirms the strong commitment of enterprises to reduce emissions according to international standards.

Vinamilk's report is also considered outstanding for not only applying international standards but also applying industry standards. Specifically, in addition to common international standards such as the latest version of the Global Report on Sustainable Development Reporting (GRI Standards), the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) standard, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations; Vinamilk's sustainability report also references industry standards such as: The Global Dairy Sustainability Framework (DSF), GRI guidelines specifically for the food sector (GRI Food Processing)...
These international standards not only increase comprehensiveness and transparency, but also make reports more trustworthy to readers.
Net Zero - more than just a commitment
Vinamilk's award-winning report this year has the theme "Mindfulness in Action - Net Zero 2050" and "Net Zero 2050" is also the prominent keyword of 2024. Towards the goal of Net Zero 2050, the company is promoting emission reductions throughout the entire supply chain as well as expanding carbon sinks through reforestation activities.

The commitment to Net Zero 2050 was officially made by the company in 2023, but more than 10 years before that, Vinamilk had started implementing actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, inventory and measure emissions, and consider sustainable development as a strategy in investing in factories, farms, production technology, etc.
This creates a foundation for businesses to move faster on the path to Net Zero 2050, specifically 3 units of Vinamilk have been recognized as carbon neutral according to international standard PAS2060:2014.

Net Zero is considered not only a global trend but also a smart business strategy, helping businesses improve their position, expand their markets, manage risks and attract investment and consumers. For example, at Vinamilk, being ready to meet requirements related to sustainable development reports, greenhouse gas inventories or achieving carbon neutral standards... helps Vietnamese branded products "open the door" wider when exploring new markets, especially countries that are starting to have "green" barriers for imported goods..../.
