Vinamilk continues to affirm its pioneering and leading position in both governance and sustainable development through outstanding results at the 2024 Listed Companies Awards, with over 500 participating companies.
"Pioneering the green era"
This is the general assessment of the judging panel of the 2024 Listed Companies Awards for Vinamilk. Accordingly, Vinamilk has made significant progress in its sustainable development journey, demonstrated through outstanding achievements in minimizing environmental impact and social responsibility.
As a result, this company has consistently been nominated in many categories, including First Prize.Sustainable Development ReportAwards included: Best Company Report on Greenhouse Gas Emission Management; Top 10 Companies with the Best Corporate Governance (Large-Cap Group); and the Company with Corporate Governance Exceeding Compliance Award.

Consistent performance for 12 consecutive years
Since publishing its first Sustainable Development Report in 2012, Vinamilk has consistently been among the top 3 best-rated companies. Specifically in the category of Greenhouse Gas Emission Disclosure, Vinamilk is the only company and has led the rankings for three consecutive years.
Another noteworthy point is that, although the number of individual sustainability reports this year has increased to a record high, from 21 to 33, only two businesses set emission targets based on the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) standard, including Vinamilk. This confirms the strong commitment of businesses to reducing emissions according to international standards.

Vinamilk's report was also praised for not only applying international standards but also utilizing industry standards. Specifically, in addition to common international standards such as the latest version of the Global Reporting Standards for Sustainable Development (GRI Standards), the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) standard, and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations; Vinamilk's sustainability report also references industry standards such as: the Dairy Sustainability Framework (DSF), and GRI's guidance specifically for the food sector (GRI Food Processing)...
These international standards not only help increase comprehensiveness and transparency, but also make reports more credible to readers.
Net Zero - More Than Just a Commitment
Vinamilk's award-winning report this year is themed "Mindful Action - Net Zero 2050," and "Net Zero 2050" is also a prominent keyword for 2024. Towards the Net Zero 2050 goal, the company is accelerating emission reductions throughout its supply chain and expanding carbon sinks through reforestation activities.

Vinamilk officially announced its commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2050 in 2023, but more than 10 years prior, it had already begun implementing actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, inventory and measure emissions, and consider sustainable development as a strategy in investing in factories, farms, production technologies, etc.
This lays the foundation for businesses to move faster towards Net Zero 2050, specifically with three Vinamilk units having been certified as carbon neutral according to the international standard PAS2060:2014.

Net Zero is recognized not only as a global trend but also as a smart business strategy, helping businesses enhance their position, expand markets, manage risks, and attract investment and consumers. For example, Vinamilk's readiness to meet requirements related to sustainable development reporting, greenhouse gas inventories, and carbon neutrality standards allows Vietnamese branded products to have wider access to new markets, especially in countries that are beginning to implement "green" barriers for imported goods.
