Vinamilk is considering raising dairy cows using high-tech methods in Hanoi.

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 25, 2017, at the 2nd "Hanoi 2017 – Investment and Development Cooperation" Conference, Ms. Mai Kieu Lien - General Director of Vinamilk, on behalf of the company, signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in investment and development of high-tech dairy farming in Hanoi.

The project aims to create a reliable source of fresh milk for production and food safety, while also being designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment, ensuring it not only avoids negative impacts but also becomes a tourist attraction for Hanoi residents and international visitors.

Representatives from the Hanoi city leadership and Ms. Mai Kieu Lien, General Director of Vinamilk, signed a memorandum of cooperation to invest in and develop high-tech dairy farming in Hanoi.

In the 2017 investment cooperation program for the development of Hanoi, Hanoi introduced a list of 136 projects to investors with a total estimated investment of 1.1 trillion VND; signed memoranda of understanding with investors with an estimated implementation cost of 134.79 trillion VND; and granted investment policy decisions for 48 projects with a total registered investment capital of over 74.37 trillion VND. Hanoi City determined that this is a very important resource, alongside investment from the state budget, to achieve socio-economic development goals in 2017 and subsequent years.

In the agricultural sector, the purpose of the memorandum of cooperation on investment and development of high-tech dairy farming in Ba Vi, signed with Vinamilk, is to create a basis for investment cooperation between the two parties on issues of mutual interest regarding the development of high-tech livestock farming in Hanoi, aiming to develop the dairy herd and guarantee the purchase of raw milk from farmers in Hanoi.

Vinamilk's Dalat organic dairy farm is the first farm in Vietnam to meet European organic standards.

The project, developed on a cluster of three high-tech dairy farms with a scale of 8,000 dairy cows on an area of ​​nearly 800 hectares in Ba Vi district, Hanoi, has a total investment of approximately 1,400 billion VND and will be implemented from 2017 to 2019. It is expected to contribute to creating jobs, improving income and living standards for people in the area, and promoting agricultural development. Vinamilk will ensure the capital and conditions for building the farms, planning the development of feed growing areas for the farms, and establishing satellite milk collection stations in the area to guarantee the purchase of fresh milk from local dairy farmers.

This event affirmed Vinamilk's commitment to the development of Hanoi and its desire to bring a new look to the capital city with its high-tech dairy farming model and tourism landscape for the people of Hanoi.
