Mother Dang Thi Duong, residing in Luong Phu commune, Ben Tre province, happily talked with Vinamilk representative. |
Talking about the losses that the mothers had to endure, the whole group could not hide their emotions when most of the mothers' husbands and children sacrificed their lives in the war for peace for the nation. Among them, there was mother Ho Thi Nga, born in 1933, residing in Hamlet 4, Luong Hoa, who was twice awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother, currently living with her fifth daughter, or mother Nguyen Thi Nhung, currently living with her children and grandchildren in Cam Ha, Hoi An, Quang Nam. Despite their old age and poor health, the mothers still enthusiastically sat and received the group with stories about their husbands and children during the war with extremely proud eyes.
The families of mothers Nguyen Thi Luy, Ho Thi Kheo, Nguyen Thi Uc, ... residing in Ben Tre and Nguyen Thi Lo in Quang Nam were also very happy and touched when the delegation visited, talked and gave gifts. In addition to the gifts given during the visit, the company also sent each mother a quarterly allowance, partly helping the families cover their daily living expenses.
Through sharing, the visiting delegation was very excited because the families were all cultural families, always exemplary in leading movements and activities in the locality. The representative of the leadership of Luong Hoa commune, Giong Trom district, Ben Tre was grateful for Vinamilk's thoughtful care for the sacrifices and losses of Vietnamese heroic mothers during the past time, and at the same time thanked Vinamilk for the contributions that Vinamilk has made to the development of the commune.

The activity of visiting Vietnamese heroic mothers not only demonstrates the tradition of “repaying gratitude” and “remembering the source of water” that Vinamilk always strives for, but also brings joy and comfort to mothers in their old age. Therefore, many mothers, although no longer clear-headed due to old age, are still very happy to recognize familiar members of Vinamilk who have participated in trips like this many times.
The program to honor Vietnamese heroic mothers, along with the Vietnam Grow Up Milk Fund and the One Million Trees for Vietnam Fund are social responsibility programs and community contributions that Vinamilk has been actively implementing for many years in addition to promoting production and business activities.
To date, the Vietnam Grow Tall Milk Fund has given more than 31.4 million glasses of milk to more than 388,000 disadvantaged children, with a total value equivalent to VND 128.6 billion. At the same time, the One Million Trees for Vietnam Fund has planted a total of more than 400,000 trees of all kinds, worth nearly VND 6 billion, in more than 20 provinces and cities nationwide, contributing to greening and purifying the environment for the country.
