VinFast VF 5 dominates the A-SUV segment with record sales in March 2026.
With 4,218 vehicles delivered in March 2026, the VinFast VF 5 continues to assert its leading position thanks to its actual on-the-road cost starting from only 490 million VND and optimized operating policies.
In March 2026, VinFast VF 5 recorded sales of 4,218 units, a 158% increase compared to February. This result not only helped the Vietnamese electric vehicle maintain its leading position in the A-SUV segment but also made the VF 5 one of the best-selling models in the entire market. The car's appeal stems from a combination of low on-the-road price, optimized maintenance costs, and superior safety features.
Advantages from competitive on-the-road pricing and groundbreaking financing policies.
Despite its listed price of 529 million VND, the VinFast VF 5 currently has an actual on-the-road price starting from around 490 million VND. This attractive price is the result of combining incentives from the "Intense for a Green Future" program (6%), the policy supporting gasoline car owners to switch to electric vehicles (3%), and the 100% exemption of registration fees from the Government.
Compared to competitors in the same segment such as the Kia Sonet or Toyota Raize, which typically require more than 600 million VND to get on the road, the VF 5 creates a significant competitive advantage in terms of initial investment costs.

Besides the selling price, VinFast also offers a financing solution that allows customers to borrow up to 100% of the car's value with a fixed interest rate of 7% per year for the first 3 years. This policy helps young families and those in the service business easily access cars without needing to accumulate a large initial capital.
High performance and advanced safety features.
The VinFast VF 5 boasts an electric motor with 134 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque, achieved right from the first revs. This characteristic allows the car to accelerate nimbly in urban areas and quickly on the highway, surpassing many A-segment gasoline cars and matching B-segment sedans.
In terms of safety technology, the car is equipped with features rarely seen at this price point, such as blind spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert. With 6 airbags and a high-strength steel chassis, the VF 5 ensures optimal protection for passengers.
Maximum cost savings in operation.
For customers who use their vehicles frequently, the VF 5 offers superior economic benefits thanks to its free charging policy at V-Green charging stations until February 10, 2029. After this period, the estimated fuel cost is only about 440 VND/km, significantly lower than comparable internal combustion engine vehicles.

Maintenance costs are also a major plus, with a regular maintenance interval of up to 15,000 km, three times longer than gasoline cars. In Hanoi, some owners shared that the cost for the first maintenance service was only around 400,000 VND because electric vehicles don't have complex parts like oil filters or engine oil. This is coupled with a 7-year vehicle warranty and an 8-year battery warranty, giving users complete peace of mind during use.
