The VinFast VF 6 is currently the flagship electric SUV in the B-segment in Vietnam, directly competing with rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, and Toyota Corolla Cross. In March 2026, this model continued to maintain its competitive advantage thanks to a combination of design from renowned international studios and strong financial support policies from the government and the automaker.

Notably, customers purchasing vehicles during this period will benefit from a 6% discount on the list price under the manufacturer's program, equivalent to a reduction of 41-45 million VND depending on the version. Furthermore, according to Decree 51/2025/ND-CP, battery-powered electric vehicles will continue to be 100% exempt from registration fees until February 28, 2027, significantly saving on initial on-the-road costs.

Changes to battery and charging station policies

From March 1st, 2025, VinFast officially discontinued its battery leasing policy for electric cars and motorcycles. Instead, the company is focusing on supporting customers who own vehicles with batteries by extending the free battery charging policy for another six months, until June 30th, 2027. This move aims to optimize operating costs for electric vehicle users in the long term.

The exterior design is highly aerodynamic.

The VinFast VF 6 is the result of a collaboration between VinFast and two renowned design studios, Pininfarina and Torino Design. The car has dimensions of 4,238 x 1,820 x 1,594 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,730 mm. Although its overall length is shorter than some gasoline-powered competitors in the same segment, its superior wheelbase optimizes interior space.

The front of the car is striking with its distinctive wing-shaped LED light strip encompassing the V logo. The main headlights and fog lights are positioned low, creating a sharp and modern look. The body features a soft, rounded design, complemented by sporty two-tone 5-spoke wheels (17-inch on the Eco version and 19-inch on the Plus version).

The VF 6's cabin is designed with a minimalist philosophy but focuses strongly on the user experience. The dashboard features a prominent 12.9-inch central touchscreen angled towards the driver. The car eliminates the traditional instrument panel behind the steering wheel, replacing it with a head-up display (HUD) or integrated directly into the main screen.

Thanks to its electric vehicle structure that doesn't require much space for mechanical components, the VF 6 boasts class-leading second-row legroom. Modern amenities include a push-button gear selector, electronic parking brake, active parking assist, and an intelligent virtual assistant.

The VinFast VF 6 is equipped with an electric motor on the front axle, with different power outputs between the two versions. A 59.6 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a range of 381–399 km on a standard full charge.

In terms of safety, the Plus version is equipped with the advanced ADAS driver assistance package, featuring adaptive cruise control (ACC), emergency lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, and automatic braking to minimize collisions.
