The VinFast VF 9 (formerly known as the VF e36) is the Vietnamese automaker's most premium all-electric SUV, first unveiled at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show. Latest tax and battery policy updates
According to Decree 51/2025/ND-CP, the Government has agreed to extend the exemption of all registration fees for battery-powered electric vehicles for another two years, effective until February 28, 2027. This helps to significantly lower the on-the-road price of the VF 9 compared to its gasoline-powered competitors in the same segment.
Regarding battery policy, VinFast officially discontinued its battery leasing policy on March 1, 2025. Simultaneously, the company extended the free battery charging policy for an additional six months for customers owning electric vehicles with pre-installed batteries, until June 30, 2027.

The automatic climate control system incorporates a HEPA filter and activated carbon filter, and the panoramic sunroof provides 99% UV protection, ensuring a relaxing experience for passengers.

The VinFast VF 9 is equipped with two electric motors for a total output of 402 horsepower and a maximum torque of 620 Nm. The all-wheel drive (AWD) system allows the car to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds. With a 92 kWh battery pack, the car has a range of 423–438 km depending on the version.
