Battery policy and registration fee support
One of the most significant changes for VinFast electric vehicle users is the discontinuation of the battery leasing policy from March 1, 2025. Accordingly, all vehicles currently sold come with a battery. To support customers, VinFast has extended the free battery charging policy for another six months, until June 30, 2027.
Regarding government policy, according to Decree 51/2025/ND-CP, battery-powered electric vehicles will continue to be 100% exempt from registration fees until February 28, 2027.
