(Baonghean.vn) - The Tho ethnic group's Gong Club in U village, Nghia Thang commune, Nghia Dan district has 30 members, mostly women, with the oldest being over 80 years old.

On the evening of November 17th, the Club received the title of outstanding cultural model at the provincial level.

The elderly women enthusiastically danced to the gongs and drums on the night they received their honors.

The Tho ethnic gong club of U village, Nghia Thang commune, was established in 2012, recognized as a district-level club in 2014, and selected as one of two clubs in the entire province to build a model in 2015.

The club was awarded a certificate recognizing it as an exemplary cultural model.

Currently, the club has 30 members, mostly women and elderly ladies, the oldest being over 80 years old. Besides community cultural activities, the club is also becoming a gathering place for children who are passionate about the traditional dances of the Tho ethnic group.

During the ceremony to receive the provincial-level cultural model title, the club organized a gong and drum exchange with other units such as: Sinh Hamlet Club, Nghia Thang Commune, Nghia Mai Commune, Giai Xuan Commune (Tan Ky District), Quang Tien Ward (Thai Hoa Town)...
