It was an honor and a source of pride to become a party member before entering university.

Positive factors

On July 15, 2024, two days before the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the high school graduation exam, Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh City) held a ceremony to admit 26 12th-grade students, class of 47, into the Party. The number of students admitted to the Party this academic year is higher than the previous year and the highest in recent years. All the newly admitted Party members are high-achieving students who excelled in their studies, provincial-level student competitions, and science and technology competitions. Many are exemplary class officers, pioneering Youth Union officials, leaders of clubs, and have made significant contributions to school activities.

Among the list of young Party members, Tran Khanh Chi and Tran Khanh Linh are two special cases because they are twin sisters and were admitted to the Party on the same day. Both grew up in families where both parents worked in freelance professions; although their parents were not Party members, they always encouraged and motivated their children to join the Party as soon as possible.

Before being admitted to the Party, Tran Khanh Chi - class president of 12D1 - had already been accepted into the Primary Education major at Vinh University of Education; Tran Khanh Linh - class secretary of 12D5 - had also been accepted and planned to study at two universities: Duy Tan University and FPT University, specializing in Painting.

Sharing about her journey of hard work and dedication, Khanh Chi said: "From the moment I entered 10th grade, I set a goal to join the Party. Therefore, when my homeroom teacher and classmates trusted me and elected me as class president, I tried my best to fulfill my role. During my high school years, I enthusiastically participated in almost every activity at school and in class. In addition, I balanced my time, harmonizing my studies with my youth union activities. For all three years of high school, I achieved excellent student status and won second prize in the provincial excellent student competition."

Through participating in youth union activities, I feel I'm growing and improving every day. It has helped me transform from a shy, inexperienced girl into a more dynamic, confident person who knows how to live responsibly towards myself and the school.

Student Tran Khanh Chi - Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh City)

Hoang Thu Trang, a student in class 12A3 at Que Phong High School, has just completed her 12 years of high school with many outstanding achievements, including consistently being recognized as an excellent student at the school, district, and provincial levels. In particular, in 12th grade, she won first prize and was the top student in the provincial history competition. Trang was also recently honored as one of the eight talented young people of Nghe An province, having been admitted early to Da Nang University and Hue University of Education. She also recently completed her high school graduation exams with excellent results, achieving 28 points in the humanities/social sciences (Block C). In June 2024, upon turning 18, Trang was one of the few students from Que Phong High School to be admitted to the Communist Party right at the school.

Speaking about her achievements, Hoang Thu Trang said: "Despite studying at a school far from the city center and facing many difficulties, I had three years of high school filled with many beneficial and meaningful activities, such as participating in volunteer activities organized by my class, school, and district youth union, including 'Spring of Love,' the 'Red Phoenix Flower' campaign, and 'Supporting Students During Exams.' Each activity was a valuable experience that helped me grow and gave me the opportunity to express myself."

Give opportunities for development.

In recent years, the number of students in Nghe An province admitted to the Party while still in school has steadily increased, with each year surpassing the previous one. The majority of those admitted are students with outstanding academic achievements and active participation in youth union activities. Being admitted to the Party not only recognizes the hard work and dedication of each student but also serves as a favorable starting point for their future development.

Speaking about Party membership recruitment in schools, Mr. Cao Thanh Bao, Principal of Ha Huy Tap High School (Vinh City), shared: "With the view that developing the Party in schools will create motivation for students to strive and excel, Ha Huy Tap High School creates all conditions for students to contribute."

Furthermore, the school is not afraid to "assign tasks" to help students develop themselves and demonstrate their abilities. During implementation, the school does not limit age or grade level; instead, all students who wish to participate have the opportunity to attend Party orientation classes. After these classes, students will become more self-aware and motivated to strive for improvement.

At Nghi Loc 2 High School, on July 5th, 16 out of 68 students participating in the Party membership orientation class were admitted to the Party. The number of students admitted to the Party at the school consistently exceeded the assigned target, even doubling the target in some years. To achieve this result, the school has focused on nurturing potential members, from identifying and training them to creating an environment for them to develop and strive for excellence.

Teacher Nguyen Danh Duong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Loc 2 High School, Nghi Loc district, said: "When the Party Committee assigned us the task of developing the Party in the school, we created all the conditions for students to have opportunities to develop. In the Youth Union's work, we organized many movements to give students opportunities to experience and express themselves. The most outstanding and excellent individuals will be presented to the Party branch for consideration and admission into the Party, and these are also positive factors that spread throughout the school."

Another notable aspect is that the school has been facilitated by the District Party Committee to open Party membership orientation classes right within the school grounds, allowing students to avoid traveling far and increasing the number of participants. For students who do not yet meet the requirements or are not old enough to join the Party, we have connected them with local authorities so that they can continue to strive and mature, and eventually join the Party when they meet the requirements.

At Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2, speaking about the 36 12th-grade students who were admitted to the Party this summer, Mr. Lo Thanh Binh - the school's Vice Principal - affirmed: These students, admitted to the Party while still in school, are exemplary Youth Union members and all achieved high scores in the High School Graduation Exam. They are not only academically excellent but also enthusiastic and active in Youth Union activities and school movements. They are role models throughout the school, creating further motivation for students in subsequent years to continue striving and working hard.

Leaving high school, the 12th-grade students who have the honor of being admitted to the Party are also the core, the young Party members who will continue to "nurture" the future. The knowledge they have learned, the experiences during their school years, and the honor and responsibility of being a Party member will help them mature.
