Wife leaves for China, son-in-law goes there, argues with her, then kills mother-in-law.
During an argument, Giàng Seo Mìn fatally stabbed his mother-in-law, Giàng Thị X., then went home to sleep and was subsequently arrested by the police.
According to information from the Lao Cai Provincial Police, on the morning of November 9th, the Bao Yen District Police, in coordination with the Criminal Police Department, arrested Giang Seo Min for the crime of murder.
At the police station, Min confessed that he had a conflict with his wife's family because he was upset that his wife had left for China many years ago and hadn't returned.
On the evening of November 8th, Min went to his mother-in-law's house in Phong Nien commune, Bao Thang district, and another argument ensued. In a fit of anger, Min took a machete and attacked Mrs. X. and her son, Ly Deo D. (born in 2005). As a result, Mrs. X. died on the spot, and her son, D., suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

After committing the crime, Min fled the scene. In the early morning of November 9th, the police deployed forces and arrested Giang Seo Min while he was sleeping at home.
According to Ngo Van Phuc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phong Nien commune, the suspect Min is unemployed, has a poor personal record, and has been repeatedly involved in petty theft and punished by the local police.
