V.League 2022 Round 12: Big teams pull ahead!

Only Hanoi FC remains.Lam River, Nghe AnHoang Anh Gia Lai has the ability and ambition to compete for the V.League 2022 championship. With a 6-point lead over the second-placed team, Van Quyet and his teammates are enjoying great joy after round 12.

Dong A Thanh Hoa - Hong Linh Ha Tinh (2-0).Newcomers Dam Tien Dung and A Mit scored to help Dong A Thanh Hoa defeat Hong Linh Ha Tinh 2-0, winning 1 billion VND in prize money. Midfielder Paulo Pinto, recovering from injury, was in the starting lineup. The central defensive pairing remained Kamhuka and Gustavo, with Nguyen Trong Hung playing as the lone striker. Ho Chi Minh City- Topenland Binh Dinh (1-2).New coach Huu Thang was determined to win, while the visiting team rested attacking players Jermie Lynch, Xuan Tu, Hong Quan, and Xuan Nam, bringing in defensively strong players instead. The fans at Thong Nhat Stadium thought they were about to find joy in the first victory for the coach from Nghe An, but in the 89th minute, from a corner kick, Jermie Lynch quickly fired a close-range shot, equalizing the score for Topenland Binh Dinh. Just two minutes later, from a cross by Xuan Nam, defender Tan Tai sneaked in and tapped the ball in, securing a dramatic 2-1 victory for the team from Binh Dinh.

Becamex Binh Duong - Saigon (2-1).These two teams are winless at home and only have to face Saigon FC, who are at the bottom of the league table, so new head coach Lu Dinh Tuan needs to know what to do. In the first 10 rounds, the foreign strikers failed to score a single goal for the team, but after new signing Welington scored his first goal against Viettel in the previous round, things have changed.

Goals from Eydison and Welington helped Becamex Binh Duong defeat Saigon 2-1. This was their first win and their first three points at home at Go Dau Stadium this season, moving them up to ninth place and away from the relegation zone.

Nam Dinh - Song Lam Nghe An (0-1).Having suffered three consecutive defeats at Thien Truong Stadium, Nguyen Huy Hoang's team was determined to win, with newcomer Mario replacing Olaha. The visiting players played tightly, lurking and waiting for opportunities to score from the home team's mistakes. Van Duc frequently made breakthroughs that drew the attention of the Nam Dinh defenders. This was a match where the Nam Dinh players lacked morale; their strategy was simply to pass the ball to Fagan and Masaray, failing to trouble the defense led by Que Ngoc Hai. In the 68th minute, Xuan Tien unleashed a powerful long-range shot, securing three points for the Nghe An team and moving them up to second place in the standings.

SHB Da Nang - Viettel (0-2)It was a fairly balanced match, and the audience was expecting a draw in the final minutes, but Viettel unexpectedly exploded and scored two consecutive goals to defeat SHB Da Nang. Coach Bae Ji Won had initially focused on playing defensively, avoiding mistakes to prevent the opponent from scoring. Two minutes later, Tuan Hai proved he deserved his place in Hanoi FC with a goal in the 58th minute. Bruno equalized with a difficult header, but this only made the final 30 minutes of the match more exciting. This was a match where the referee missed a foul by Duy Manh on a Hoang Anh Gia Lai foreign player inside the penalty area in the first half.

Hanoi FC secured the first-half championship early and demonstrated their superiority over chasing rivals like Song Lam Nghe An and Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Meanwhile, the two teams playing at Thong Nhat Stadium and Nam Dinh are struggling to avoid relegation.
