VTV equips itself with crisis management skills for the digital age.
Vietnam Television (VTV) organized an intensive training course on risk management, helping journalists to identify and respond effectively to media challenges.
On December 3rd, Vietnam Television (VTV) inaugurated a professional training course on "Risk Management and Media Crisis Handling Skills" at the VTV Center in Ho Chi Minh City. This event is part of VTV's 2025 professional development plan, aiming to enhance the response capabilities of its journalists in the context of constantly changing information.

The course brought together 35 participants, including department heads, editors, reporters, and specialists from key units of Vietnam Television (VTV) in the Southern region, including VTV Times, the VTV Center in Ho Chi Minh City, the VTV Center in the Southwest region, the Digital Content Production and Development Center, and the Ethnic Minority Television Department.
The ever-present challenge in the digital age.
In the digital age, the rapid spread of information exposes all organizations, including news agencies, to the risk of media crises. These risks can stem from operational errors, negative social media reactions, technical malfunctions, or the impact of fake news. If not handled promptly and properly, these incidents can severely damage the reputation and operations of an organization.
Therefore, equipping media organizations with the knowledge to identify, predict, and handle crises is a critical requirement during the digital transformation process.

In-depth content from leading experts.
The course instructor is Dr. Le Quoc Vinh, Chairman and CEO of Le Group of Companies. With over 30 years of experience in journalism and media, he is one of the leading experts in brand management and crisis handling in Vietnam.
The three-day program (December 3-5, 2025) is designed to cover the entire crisis management cycle, from prevention to recovery. Participants will be introduced to 10 key topics, including media risk identification, fundamental principles, response planning, public speaking skills, and post-crisis brand recovery.

The course aims to equip participants with foundational knowledge of risk management, provide effective crisis management procedures, and enhance their ability to respond quickly in a multifaceted media environment.

Enhance practical combat skills.
The highlight of the course is the intensive practical activities. Students participate in analyzing real-life crisis situations, discussing the media risks faced by Vietnam Television (VTV), and developing response plans in hypothetical scenarios. In particular, the practical exercises in answering camera interviews help students hone their quick response skills and strategic thinking.

In addition to providing knowledge, the course also offers an opportunity for units within the Vietnam Television system to connect, thereby enhancing coordination capabilities – a crucial element in handling large-scale media issues.
