According to the TASS news agency. On May 27, speaking on Sputnik Radio, the official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, strongly condemned the stance of Western countries. She called the West's response to the terrorist attack in Starobelsk (Lugansk) carried out by Ukraine "cruel and inhumane."

Zakharova pointed out that Western officials avoided acknowledging the deliberate nature of the attack. According to the Russian diplomat, they ignored the fact that the Kiev authorities planned to target facilities for children.

"Even if they weren't allowed to publicly state that the attack was deliberate, they could at least have said: 'Yes, children were killed, it was cruel, and we offer our condolences.' But now, they haven't even said that. They have completely exposed the true nature of the situation," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized.

A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry asserted that information about the terrorist attack in Starobelsk was widely available and not concealed in any way.

Zakharova noted: "Russian media were very active on the scene. All information was broadcast. There were television news reports, articles, and live coverage. Everything was clear, so the information was completely comprehensive."

Western permanent representatives to the United Nations have so far offered no condolences. According to Zakharova, instead of showing sympathy, they have been spreading misinformation.

A spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the West's spreading of lies that the target of the attack was a military command center or a Russian military base, instead of acknowledging that it was a social facility for children with no military personnel present.

In response to the misinformation and indifference from the West, the Russian Foreign Ministry has received countless calls, responses, and requests from the public.

"People demanded that special action be taken," Zakharova shared. In response to these calls and to clarify the facts, the very next day, a field trip to Starobelsk was organized specifically for foreign journalists.
