Quarry collapse: 8 people injured: Horrifying scene

The search for victims buried under hundreds of blocks of rock is still underway.

On the evening of January 22, the search and rescue team of Thanh Hoa province found the body of victim Dinh Van Hoang, born in 1982, in Thiet Ong commune, Ba Thuoc district, one of three victims buried in the quarry collapse in Yen Lam commune, Yen Dinh district.

The search and rescue work for the remaining victims is being actively carried out by the functional forces of Thanh Hoa province. Due to the relatively large volume of landslides, the functional agencies of Thanh Hoa province have mobilized hundreds of people to participate in the search and mobilized many large-capacity excavators, modern lighting equipment and vehicles to search all night to soon find the remaining 2 victims.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on January 22nd at Hang Ca rock mountain, Yen Lam commune, which Tuan Hung Enterprise is exploiting, causing 8 casualties. Of these, 4 people were confirmed dead, 1 person was slightly injured, and 3 people have not been found yet due to deep burial of rocks.

8 victims, including 6 victims from the same hometown in Thiet Ong commune (Ba Thuoc district - Thanh Hoa).

Authorities are searching for victims.

The victims were identified as: Pham Van Phi (born in 1993), Dinh Van Hoang (born in 1982), Truong Van Danh (born in 1983), Le Van Quang (born in 1981), Pham Van Truong (born in 1988), Ha Van Duc (born in 1979), all residing in Thiet Ong commune, Ba Thuoc district (Thanh Hoa), Tran Van Nam (born in 1963, residing in Yen Lam commune, Yen Dinh district), Tran Nhu Dung (born in 1961, manager of Tuan Hung Enterprise, slightly injured).

Authorities searched for victims and blocked off the scene, investigating the cause of the accident.
