'King of cheesy music' speaks out after criticizing Hoai Linh

"I just said Hoai Linh went in the wrong direction and lost his way," the king of sentimental music affirmed.

Amidst the storm of mixed public opinion about the incident where musician Vinh Su criticized comedian Hoai Linh for not knowing anything about Bolero but being a judge, the owner of the statement spoke up to explain.

The author of "Grass Ring for You" affirmed that he only said Hoai Linh was not on the right track and lost his way.

Musician Vinh Su affirmed: ''That was the wrong idea written by the journalist, but I only said that Hoai Linh went astray, not on the right path, saying that certainly no one will blame me. But the words that have been changed will become criticism and hurt others. I think that Hoai Linh will definitely be the number 1 judge for judging comedy contests, but judging bolero is a different story.''

The famous musician emphasized that the audience said that hundreds of thousands of Hoai Linh Bolero songs were all the same, and sometimes they criticized him but still gave him 10 points.

Along with that, he also expressed his frustration at the existing contradictions, especially in programs related to Bolero when singers judge actors and comedians judge singers. If one person is left and the other is left, Bolero will be flawed and no longer a program.

"Faces like Phuong My Chi should only be guest singers, but if they were to be judges for Bolero, the audience would be shocked because they don't have enough expertise to judge. That's the fault of the program's producers," said musician Vinh Su.
