Knowing their son had a passionate love for football, Hai Dang's parents didn't hesitate to enroll him in the Song Lam Nghe An youth academy in Thai Hoa. Regularly, every day, braving the long distance and the sun and rain, his parents took turns driving him to training.

Hai Dang possesses excellent qualities, high discipline, and a serious and enthusiastic approach to training. Therefore, Dang caught the eye of Coach To Thanh Thin.

Having been selected for the Children's team to participate in the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament, Hai Dang was very excited. He practiced diligently and strived to improve every day. Because of this, Dang was chosen as the captain of the Thai Hoa Children's team.

“Although only 10 years old, Dang possesses a calmness and maturity beyond his years. He has a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation, and is well-liked by the other players on the team. At the 2024 Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament, Nguyen Ngoc Hai Dang excelled, scoring 8 goals against the opposing team, helping Thai Hoa Children's team advance from the group stage to the quarterfinals. Notably, he scored two impressive hat-tricks.

The first hat-trick came in the match against Do Luong Children's Team, where Nguyen Ngoc Hai Dang scored three goals. The first goal was at the beginning of the first half, when number 7 Hai Dang unleashed a powerful shot that hit goalkeeper Khac Hoang's hand and flew into the net, opening the scoring for Thai Hoa Children's Team. In the early minutes of the second half, receiving an accurate pass from a teammate on the left wing, number 7 Nguyen Ngoc Hai Dang of Thai Hoa Children's Team scored a beautiful long-range shot, increasing the score to 2-1. In the 30th minute, from a long-range shot from midfield, number 7 Nguyen Ngoc Hai Dang completed his hat-trick, raising the score to 3-1 for Thai Hoa Children's Team against Do Luong Children's Team.

His second hat-trick came in the final group stage match against Nghi Loc Children's Team. In that game, Nguyen Ngoc Hai Dang scored three goals in the 7th, 15th, and 26th minutes. Born into a farming family in Ky Son commune (Tan Ky district), at the young age of 7, Nhat Thanh joined a football talent class in Lat town. His passion for football, combined with early training, gave him the qualities of a professional player: high discipline and a sharp playing style.

In this year's tournament, Nhat Thanh has consistently been a key player for the team, playing in every match from start to finish without a single minute of rest.
