Just out of prison and caught again for drug trafficking

(Baonghean.vn) - Thanh and his wife have just been released from prison for illegal drug trafficking. Thanh continued to carry "goods" to sell and was arrested by the police.

On April 25, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Khang - Deputy Head of Dien Chau District Police said that the unit is completing the case file to prosecute the case and prosecute Vi Thi Thanh (born in 1964), residing in Khe Kien village, Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong, for illegal drug trafficking.

In early 2017, Dien Chau District Police received information that a strange person often appeared in the area with many suspicious signs.

After a period of verification, the detectives found out that this subject was a mountain person, often bringing drugs to Dien Chau for consumption. The police identified the subject as Vi Thi Thanh (born in 1964), residing in Khe Kien village, Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong.

At noon on April 19, Thanh took a bus back to the South. When the bus reached the intersection of Dien Chau town, she called her partner to come to the meeting point to receive the goods. Right when she got off the bus, the police arrived and caught her red-handed with evidence of a package of white powder suspected to be heroin hidden in her handbag.

At the investigation agency, Thanh confessed that she had been to prison, and her husband had just finished serving a 19-year prison sentence for illegal drug trafficking.

After finding a connection, Thanh went to the village to buy the goods for 5 million VND and would resell them to a partner in the lowlands for nearly 40 million VND. After an examination, the authorities concluded that the package of white powder was heroin, weighing 35.8 grams.
