The Yen Trung flood-affected area was cut off after Typhoon No. 10.
After Typhoon No. 10 made landfall, Yen Trung commune became the epicenter of the flooding, with many areas deeply submerged. Currently, 13 out of 24 hamlets in the commune, affecting more than 1,300 households, are cut off.
According to Mr. Hoang Duc An, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Yen Trung commune, after typhoon No. 10, 13 out of 24 hamlets in the commune were isolated by rising floodwaters.

The 13 isolated hamlets of Yen Trung commune include 11 hamlets located in the former Hung Trung commune (Hung Trung 1, Hung Trung 2, Hung Trung 3-4, Hung Trung 5, Hung Trung 6, Hung Trung 7, Hung Trung 8, Hung Trung 9a, Hung Trung 9b, Bui Thuong hamlet, Bui Ha hamlet); 1 hamlet located in the former Hung Yen Bac commune (Hung Yen Bac 5 hamlet) and 1 hamlet located in the former Hung Yen Nam commune (Hung Yen Nam 5 hamlet).
It is estimated that more than 1,300 households with over 5,000 people in the 13 isolated hamlets are affected. In addition, the locality suffered significant damage, with over 900 houses having their roofs blown off, and agriculture suffering heavy losses. Four schools, a health station, and a police headquarters also had their roofs blown off, and hundreds of power poles were knocked down, leaving the entire commune without electricity and water.

The biggest problem facing the people right now is the lack of clean water for daily life and cooking. To get around, people have to travel by boat, which is very unsafe. Meanwhile, the commune is severely lacking in rescue resources, with only two canoes available.

In response to this situation, the commune established five rapid response teams comprising members of the Standing Committee, Vice-Chairmen, heads and deputy heads of departments, the Commune Military Command, and the Police to monitor the situation and handle issues to support the people.
The armed forces, militia, and youth union members immediately arrived, clearing fallen trees, rebuilding houses, and assisting people in quickly recovering and stabilizing their lives.

The commune also allocated budget funds and appealed to philanthropists and businesses to support households in isolated hamlets. Accordingly, two businesses donated 200 gift packages containing instant noodles, dried food, and drinking water to the residents.
