(Baonghean.vn) - The US is secretly sending a warning to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that it will not forever support a protracted conflict, commentator Victoria Marshall wrote in an op-ed for the Federalist.

She said, "Funding a proxy war abroad is really not a priority for the average American, which is probably why Biden administration officials have quietly warned Kyiv that Americans don't have the patience for endless wars."
According to the journalist, an increasing number of citizens want the government to focus on domestic issues, particularly the migration crisis at the southern border.
Ms. Marshall added that recent polls show nearly half of Americans expect Biden to help Ukraine begin peace talks with Moscow. People are beginning to realize that sending more weapons only prolongs the crisis and doesn't bring it any closer to a solution, the journalist concluded.
