From the end of May to the beginning of August this year, WinCommerce carried out many social welfare activities, contributing to supporting the daily lives of disadvantaged households. One of these was a program to donate rice and essential gifts to poor and near-poor households living in rural and suburban areas.
This program was launched to celebrate the opening of the WinMart+ chain of stores, based on a new model designed specifically for residents in this area. The gift-giving events were successfully held in Hoc Mon District (Ho Chi Minh City) on May 27th; Quy Chau District (Nghe An Province) on July 21st; Cu Chi District (Ho Chi Minh City) on July 26th; and Thuan An City (Binh Duong Province) on August 4th, 2023.
Reportedly, the retail chain collaborated with local authorities to donate 40 tons of rice and over 600 bags of essential goods, worth more than 1 billion VND in total, to the people.
In particular, WinCommerce also hopes to inspire its valued supplier partners to join hands in this meaningful charitable journey. Specifically, on the opening day of WinMart Thang Long (Hanoi) recently, instead of sending congratulatory flowers, the suppliers collaborated with WinCommerce to donate gifts to families and children in difficult circumstances. The donated gifts were sent to children at Birla Children's Village in Hanoi and the Hanoi Center for the Care of Children with Disabilities on July 28, 2023, contributing to improving their meals and daily lives.
In the future, WinCommerce will continue to expand its business operations and collaborate with local communities to carry out social welfare and charitable activities in many provinces and cities.
