WSJ: US considers sending 10,000 more troops to the Middle East, tightening the noose around Iran.
Despite President Donald Trump's optimistic statements about the peace negotiations, US media outlets have revealed that Washington is considering deploying up to 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East, fueling speculation about a ground operation against Iran.

Citing internal sources, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that this troop deployment is aimed at providing President Trump with "more military options" in the region, which has been engulfed in conflict since late February.
If approved, this new force of 10,000 troops would join thousands of paratroopers and Marines already deployed to the region. This would represent a significant escalation in the scale of Washington's military presence in the Middle East hotspot.
Although Trump has repeatedly rejected plans to send ground troops into direct combat with Iran, the Wall Street Journal offered the rather ominous assessment: "It is not yet clear exactly where these forces will be stationed in the Middle East, but they will most likely be within striking distance of Iranian territory and Kharg Island – a vital oil export hub off the country's coast."
The Pentagon has not yet issued an official comment on the information published by the media.
Under pressure from the US, Tehran immediately issued a stern warning. An Iranian official declared that if Washington launched any ground offensive on Iranian territory, Tehran would retaliate by activating Houthi forces in Yemen to attack shipping lanes through the Red Sea.
According to observers, if this move occurs, it will officially open a new front, bringing with it catastrophic economic, political, and military consequences that will spiral globally.
The troop movements are taking place against a backdrop of numerous contradictions. Recently, President Trump decided to postpone airstrikes on Iranian energy facilities, while simultaneously reassuring the public that negotiations to end the conflict are progressing "very well."
However, the situation on the ground is unfolding quite differently. In the early hours of March 27th, the Israeli military announced it had launched "a large-scale wave of airstrikes" targeting critical infrastructure in the heart of Tehran. The relentless gunfire continues to signal the stormy days ahead in the volatile Middle East.
