(Baonghean.vn) - Thanks to overseas labor export, people in Son Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An province) have transformed their poor rural area into wealthy villa villages. Not only are multi-story houses lining the roads, but many have also invested in building garden houses worth billions of dong.
Amidst the nationwide labor emulation movement leading up to the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, we had the opportunity to visit Son Thanh and document the villa villages in this area.

| Mr. Tran Ba Toan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thanh commune, proudly stated: "Our locality always has 1,800 young people working abroad, mainly in European countries. Every year, local people send back around 200 billion VND. Thanks to this money, people invest in building multi-story houses and garden houses spread throughout all hamlets, not concentrated along Provincial Road 534 running through the commune. Statistics show that out of 1,700 houses in the entire commune, 45% are multi-story houses and 30% are garden houses, each worth billions of VND. Therefore, not only in the commune center but also in the foothills, multi-story houses and garden houses are springing up everywhere due to the expansion of residential areas."
