(Baonghean.vn) - As a locality consistently ranking among the top in socio-economic development movements and becoming the first commune in Nghia Dan district to achieve the new rural development goals, Nghia Binh commune is also known for having over 70% of its officials within the youth union age group. This is one of the grassroots areas with the youngest official structure in the western region of Nghe An.

The recent orange harvest in Nghia Binh commune was considered a bumper crop, and the people were delighted because the oranges yielded both a good harvest and good prices. Following the success of the orange growers, the people did not forget to mention the contribution of a young female official of the Farmers' Association, who, despite her young age, has been dedicated and concerned about each orange and pomelo tree from the time of planting until they ripen.

Not only that, she has also worked closely with 387 members of the Farmers' Association in Nghia Binh commune to build many effective livestock and crop farming models and restructure crop patterns over the years. That is Ms. Luong Thi Thao - the female Chairperson of the Farmers' Association of Nghia Binh commune, born in 1990.

In particular, what many people admire about Ms. Luong Thi Thao is her dedicated work ethic, as she accepted a two-year job with only a small allowance to gain more experience.

Born into a farming family, Luong Thi Thao was familiar with farm work from a young age. After graduating with a degree in accounting from Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce in 2010, while many of her peers decided to stay in the city to work, Thao chose to return to her hometown to start her own business.

With a thirst for knowledge, Thao followed the elders of the Farmers' Association in the commune to work and gain practical experience. At the same time, she independently researched many materials to accumulate knowledge. After two years of apprenticeship, in early 2012, Thao was finally accepted to work at the Nghia Binh Commune Farmers' Association and had the honor of joining the Party.

During this period, many of Thao's models, along with those of other members of the commune, developed and achieved many successes, such as: a model to promote the development of family farms and livestock farms, converting nearly 40 hectares of inefficient farming land to high-yield, high-quality citrus fruit trees… Based on these practical results, Thao was appointed to the position of Vice President of the Farmers' Association and is currently the President of the Farmers' Association of Nghia Binh commune.

70% of the officials are within the youth union age range.

Not only is the Chairman of the Farmers' Association a young official highly regarded for his work ethic, but many other young officials holding key positions in Nghia Binh commune over the years have also demonstrated their potential to achieve high efficiency in their work.

Also noteworthy is Mr. Tran Song Thanh (born in 1983) - Head of the Military Affairs Committee of Nghia Binh commune, who is not only skilled in military work but has also successfully developed a farm model combining fish and clam farming with industrial crop cultivation on an area of ​​nearly 3 hectares. Each year, Mr. Thanh's farm yields over 1 ton of fish and 12-15 tons of clams, along with income from over 1 hectare of rubber trees, bringing in hundreds of millions of dong. For his outstanding achievements in both military work and economic development, he was honored to receive the Luong Dinh Cua Award from the Central Youth Union last year.

Thanks to their youthful energy and high adaptability, 22 out of the 32 commune officials are still within the youth union age range (accounting for over 70%), and they have made significant contributions to the locality. In particular, 8 leading officials from the 80s and 90s generations hold key positions in fields such as: Policy, Statistics, Office, Culture, Women's Union, and Youth Union...

Speaking about the local youth workforce, Mr. Pham Hai (born in 1972) - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Binh commune - shared: "Nghia Binh commune was established in 1995, and at the end of 2011, it was split to form Nghia Dan town. After the split, the commune's staff was supplemented with many young officials. All of them have received formal training, have many years of experience working in the locality before the split, and enjoy widespread support from the people."

According to Mr. Pham Hai, the poverty rate at the time of the 2011 separation was 4.9%, but it has now decreased to 3.63%. The average per capita income in 2011 was over 8.2 million VND/person/year, and it is now 23.2 million VND/person/year.

During the period 2012-2015, after the economic separation of the commune, the average growth rate reached 15.35%; the total value of production exceeded 110 billion VND.

With their youthful energy, enthusiasm, and unity, it is hoped that in the future, Nghia Binh will not only be a shining example for Nghia Dan but also for the western region of Nghe An province in general.
